Dr. Elethia Dean

ASC Compliance was designed by Principal Consultant and CEO, Dr. Elethia Dean. Dr. Dean is a nurse with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, an MBA in Health Administration and Economics and a PhD in Organizational Management. Her PhD dissertation was titled: Critical Success Factors of a Medicare certified Ambulatory Surgery Center: A Qualitative Study. In essence, this dissertation focused on critical factors that must be present for a surgery center to pass a Medicare survey without deficiencies. The factors identified in this dissertation have been helpful in assisting surgery centers to pass Medicare, licensing as well as accreditation surveys without deficiencies.

Dr. Dean is a world-renowned speaker and is requested frequently to speak on topics related to the health-care environment, including but not limited to Infection Control, Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement, Credentialing, Human Resources/Personnel compliance, and many more. She is a scholarly reviewer for The Bulletin, the scholarly journal of the World Health Organization. She is also faculty on Orbis, the world’s only Flying Eye Hospital. Her work takes her throughout the US and the world where she works diligently to improve healthcare globally.

Dr. Dean has been published in many scholarly journals and is also an accreditation and Medicare surveyor. Her clients note that her methodology prepares them for any and all inspections and she always provides the “why” behind any change or regulatory compliance requirement.
